Part 1 of 3 series
Chinese New Year is one of the fabulous festivals celebrated in the whole world. This is a fifteen (15) day festivities and that the first day begins at the new moon of the lunar year closest to the spring. Day one (1) usually falls between January 21st to February 21st .
As a Feng Shui practitioner since 2008 , I experienced tremendous magic changes in business, career, wealth and overall a good quality of life and relationship. I adapted also the celebration of Chinese New Year and one of the most look-forward occasions of the entire family.
Pre-Chinese New Year
- 1-month
Cleansing
I usually check the calendar when the full moon will show up closest to the date of the Chinese New Year, then make a reminder to my phone so I will not forget on this day.
As the day comes, I will take out all my old cure and enhancer objects for cleansing. Soak a clean cloth to salt water for a few minutes, then squeeze tightly to take out the water. One by one, I will wipe the dust off from the objects, and place the objects outside under the broad light of the full moon for overnight. Then the next day, let the heat of the sun shaded the objects. By 12:00 noon, all objects are taken back for later use.
Feng Shui Annual Star
Next thing to do is to check the Feng Shui Annual Star forecast . Then I shall locate inside the house what area is affected by what star. I will check from my cleansed objects what I can re-use and then make a plan on what objects for cures and enhancement that I need to purchase.
De-Clutter
With a big box, I will tour every room of the house and pick things or objects that are no longer in use, including those that need fixing. Everything must be turned upside down, including all closets, cabinets and drawers.

Sorting
Prepare another three (3) boxes for sorting. From the big box, I will start sorting, pick one by one an object inside the big box and toss accordingly to the designated box that are labeled “Donate” “Dispose” and “Fix”.
Once the segregation is done, proceed to donate to whoever beneficiary I chose. While for objects that are for disposal, dispose them properly according to the environmental rule.
Fix
If nobody in the house knows how to fix, call or contact a repairman to do the task, as well as include the fixing of leaked faucets, door knobs, window grills or anything in the house that are broken or damaged.
Clean
Now it is easier to clean since all the unnecessary objects are out of sight. Proceed the thorough cleaning of the house. I do not do this all at once because this will take much of my time and very tiring. What I usually do is that I will clean room by room per day. I usually start on bedrooms, living room or sala, kitchen, comfort rooms, porch, garage, gate, garden with trimming of plants, bodega and the rest of the surroundings of the area.
After the thorough cleaning, lifting of good energy is really felt that shall make you feel good and refreshed.
